Avoid plastic bottles with these jam jar dressings. Not just for salad leaves, but to dress roasted or raw summer veg too.
Put everything in a jar, screw the lid on tight and shake it like Elvis. What could go wrong?
Mint & Yogurt Dressing
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp olive oil
4-5 large mint leaves chopped
salt & pepper, to taste.
Green herb vinaigrette
½ tsp Dijon mustard
small handful of chopped parsley/chervil/tarragon
1 tbsp cider vinegar
3 tbsp oil
salt & pepper, to taste
Orange & honey dressing
½ tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp runny honey
1 tbsp orange juice
3 tbsp oil
salt & pepper, to taste
Caesar salad dressing
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
3 anchovy fillets, finely chopped
1 egg yolk
½ tsp Dijon mustard
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp sunflower oil
1 lemon
salt & pepper, to taste
Miso dressing
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp sweet white miso
3 tbsp untoasted sesame oil
juice from half a lime
salt, to taste
